About the Game

Crown and Diamonds: Hold and Win is a Playson slot that puts retro fruit symbols on a 3x3 grid with five fixed paylines. What separates it from a standard fruit machine is the Royal Bonus collector on reel 2, which reads every value on screen.

Theme & Visuals

Reels carry the classic fruit machine line-up: cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, watermelon and grapes. BAR BAR and a 777 that doubles as the Wild sit at the top of the ladder with the Bells. Gold crowns and cut diamonds mark the two bonus symbols.

Four jackpot plates run along the top of the reels, labelled MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and GRAND.

Royal Bonus Feature

Reel 2 is the only place the crown can land, and it reads the whole grid when it does. A Royal Bonus can also appear in the base game, where its single job is to feed the Diamond Pile Feature.

On landing, the crown gathers the values of every bonus symbol visible on the reels and adds them to its own face value. Jackpot symbols are part of that sweep: Mini, Minor, Major and Grand count exactly like the standard x1–x15 values.

Everything the reels are holding goes into the Royal Bonus. The gathered total keeps growing through the round, and each additional crown runs its own collection. Two Royal Bonus symbols in one round therefore double the effect, because each reads the grid independently.

When the bonus ends, the accumulated amounts of all Royal Bonus symbols are added to the Total Win.

Diamond Pile Feature

Any bonus symbol that lands in the base game, standard Bonus or Royal Bonus, carries a chance to set off the Diamond Pile Feature. When it fires, diamonds drop over the reels and add bonus symbols. The count reaches at least the three needed to start the Bonus Game, sometimes more.

Diamonds showering the base game reels and upgrading a lone bonus symbol into a trigger

A single bonus symbol that would pay nothing on its own can turn into a full trigger. Bonus entries therefore happen more often than under a strict three-scatter rule. The added symbols can include a Royal Bonus, so the round may begin with an active collector already on reel 2.

Bonus Game

Three bonus symbols trigger the Bonus Game. Bonus lands on reels 1 and 3 only, and Royal Bonus lands on reel 2 only.

Fruit symbols leave the reels completely once the round starts, and only Bonus and Royal Bonus symbols remain in play. The round opens with 3 re-spins and runs until the counter empties.

Re-Spins and the Reset Rule

The counter starts at 3 and returns to 3 every time a new symbol sticks to the grid. An empty spin takes it down by one.

Bonus Symbol Values

Each bonus symbol shows its value printed on the face, expressed in bets. Standard Bonus symbols pay inside the Bonus Game and act purely as a trigger in the base game.

  • x1
  • x2
  • x5
  • x10
  • x15

At a $1 bet, a grid holding x5, x10 and x15 is worth $30. That whole amount moves into the Royal Bonus the moment the crown collects.

Jackpot Symbols

Jackpot symbols drop at random during the Bonus Game, with no separate wheel or mini round attached to them. Landing one awards the matching jackpot immediately.

Jackpot symbol landing on the bonus grid and paying its fixed cash value
Jackpot Value
Grand 1,000.00
Major 150.00
Minor 50.00
Mini 25.00

Jackpot values are shown at a $1.00 bet. A jackpot symbol also enters the Royal Bonus collection. A Grand Jackpot can therefore count twice: as its own award, and inside the crown's gathered total.

Payout Table

Symbol 3x Payout
Wild 777 symbol from the base game reels 50.00
Golden bells symbol, the top regular payer 30.00
BAR BAR symbol on the fruit machine reels 20.00
Watermelon fruit symbol 16.00
Grapes fruit symbol 16.00
Oranges low paying fruit symbol 4.00
Plums low paying fruit symbol 4.00
Lemons low paying fruit symbol 4.00
Cherries symbol with the lowest line payout 1.00

The five line patterns are the middle row, the top row, the bottom row, a V shape and an inverted V shape.

RTP & Volatility

RTP is 95.64% and volatility is high. The maximum win is 4,030x the bet.

With five paylines and low line payouts, most of the return is concentrated in the Bonus Game instead of line combinations. Stretches between bonus rounds therefore give back very little. The bet range runs from $0.20 to $100 per spin.

Crown and Diamonds on Mobile

Portrait mode keeps all nine grid positions and the four jackpot plates on screen at once. Printed values on the bonus symbols stay legible at phone size.

Platform Minimum
iOS 14+ / Safari 14+
Android 8.0+ / Chrome 90+
Connection Stable 3G or better
Install None, runs in browser (HTML5)

Mobile lobbies usually file the game under Playson, Hold and Win or Classic/Fruits. Typing the name into the search box gets you there faster than scrolling a category.

  1. Open the casino site in your mobile browser.
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. Tap the slots category or the search icon.
  4. Type the game title.
  5. Tap Play for real money or Demo for virtual credits.

Crown and Diamonds online loads in the browser itself, with nothing to install.

Autoplay in iOS Safari can wait for a first tap on the screen, so the opening spin sometimes needs a manual start. Rotating the phone rebuilds the layout, and the bonus symbol values stay readable in both orientations.

On a weak connection, a long chain of re-spins may load its animations with a delay. Round progress is stored server side, so the result of the bonus is not affected.

Demo vs Real Money

Demo mode runs the same math as real play: 95.64% RTP, identical bonus symbol values and the same four jackpots. Jackpot amounts in demo are credited in virtual currency.

In Crown and Diamonds Hold and Win the free version answers two practical questions. How often does the Diamond Pile Feature fire, and how does the re-spin counter behave once the field starts filling? With high volatility, a player can go a long stretch of spins without seeing the bonus round.

Real money play is where casino bonuses, wagering requirements and withdrawals apply. Use the demo as preparation for the paid round, not as a replacement for it.

FAQ

A Royal Bonus lands on reel 2 and adds the values of every bonus symbol visible on the grid to its own value. Jackpot symbols are included in that count. The totals of all Royal Bonus symbols are paid into the Total Win when the round ends.

Three bonus symbols start the round, with Bonus landing on reels 1 and 3 and Royal Bonus on reel 2. The round begins with 3 re-spins, and the counter resets to 3 each time a new symbol sticks.

Yes. It can fire after any bonus symbol lands in the base game. The feature then tops the reels up to the three symbols needed for the Bonus Game. It can also add a Royal Bonus, so the round may open with the collector already on reel 2.

Yes. Mini 25.00, Minor 50.00, Major 150.00 and Grand 1,000.00 at a $1.00 bet are gathered like any other bonus value. The jackpot itself is still awarded separately when the symbol lands.

The ceiling is 4,030x the bet, reached through Royal Bonus collections in the Bonus Game. RTP is 95.64% and volatility is high, so that result requires a heavily filled bonus grid.

Crown and Diamonds: Hold & Win runs in HTML5 on iOS 14+ and Android 8.0+ browsers, and there is no app to download.

Any licensed Crown and Diamonds casino that lists the game on desktop opens the same version on a phone through your existing account.
